Our group is one of the first to develop numerical algorithms to extract pyrolysis kinetics of polymer composites including flame-retardants. This page highlights the significance of our research and its impact on improving the reliability of fire models. This also allows the advanced modelling of fire retardant phenomena such as charring, barrier effect, radical capture, etc.
